The Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2024 campaign is a candid reflection of life’s journey through fashion, capturing moments from childhood to adulthood, spanning across gender and style spectrums. This season, Miu Miu explores how clothing shapes identity and how identity, in turn, shapes clothing.
Photographed by Zoë Ghertner, the campaign features a diverse cast: Ethel Cain, Charlotte Cardin, Cara Delevingne, MINNIE, Little Simz, and Caitlin Soetendal. Each portrait invites these personalities to showcase their authentic selves, highlighting the versatile and dynamic nature of fashion.
Set against a minimalist white backdrop and complemented by a distinctive array of chairs, the visuals ground the eclectic collection. The fusion of past and present is evident in the styling: a glossy shearling coat mimicking mink paired with a chemisier dress, shrunken tailoring with leather gloves and pearls, a plush fleece jacket with a flannel tube skirt, and deconstructed little black dresses with sharp mary-jane pumps. Miu Miu redefines nightwear with cotton poplin pajamas designed for daytime wear.
The accessories underscore these juxtapositions. Masculine shoes are contrasted with New Balance x Miu Miu sneakers in aged leather, soft calf slippers, and iconic bags like the Aventure and Joie, reimagined in shiny nappa leather with gold hardware and elongated straps.
This campaign underscores the natural expressions of personality through gesture, posture, and style. Clothing becomes a medium for subtle shifts in emotion and demeanor, transforming the wearer as they navigate their unique moments in time.
Recently, Miu Miu has continued to make waves in the fashion industry with its bold and innovative designs. The brand’s collaboration with New Balance and its consistent reimagining of archival pieces reflect its commitment to blending tradition with modernity, making Miu Miu a staple for the contemporary fashion aficionado.
