Acne Studios has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 campaign, showcasing the multifaceted talents of Willow Smith. The American artist and cultural influencer steps into the spotlight as the face of the collection, encapsulating a blend of timeless appeal and forward-thinking fashion under the adept lens of photographer Jordan Hemingway.
Set against a stark, metallic backdrop that mirrors the collection’s futuristic leanings, Smith is portrayed in a series of compelling visuals, donning quintessential leather and denim ensembles that signal a return to structured, empowering silhouettes. These pieces, distinguished by their sculptural curves and robust aesthetic, underscore the season’s theme of resilience and strength.
The campaign also highlights key accessories that punctuate the collection: the Multipocket ‘tool bag’ and the Bowlina ‘bowling bag,’ both revisited this season. These pieces, reimagined in crinkled textures and enhanced with studded details, complement the architectural lines of the garments.
Willow Smith’s involvement with Acne Studios extends beyond the campaign. A regular at the brand’s shows, including the recent FW24 showcase in Paris, Smith integrates Acne’s pieces into her everyday style effortlessly. Her recent appearance in an Acne Studios ensemble at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ and her promotion of her sixth studio album ‘Empathogen’ further cement her role as a fashion-forward figure.
Reflecting on her experience, Smith shared, “The Acne Studios FW24 show was a highlight of the season for me. It’s not just about the clothes, which are incredible, but also about the energy and creativity of the Acne team. It felt like a real collaboration, which makes this campaign very special to me.”
Jonny Johansson, Creative Director of Acne Studios, praised Willow’s synergy with the brand, noting her as a beacon of creativity and authenticity. “Willow not only embodies the spirit of our latest collection but also represents the essence of Acne Studios — individuality and the celebration of personal style,” Johansson stated.
This campaign marks another chapter in Acne Studios’ ongoing dialogue with the world of music and arts, reinforcing its commitment to celebrating strong, independent voices in the fashion industry.
