For the Dior Fall/Winter 2021/2022 men’s collection campaign, Kim Jones reinterprets ceremonial wear, a constant source of inspiration and an ever-reinvented link to the House’s heritage. Each look exalts the expertise of the Dior Ateliers while celebrating the enchanting world of Peter Doig. Rafael Pavarotti’s painting-like photographs for the Dior Winter 2021-2022 campaign showcase these exceptional pieces created in collaboration with the British painter. The silhouettes are completed with poetic punctuations, such as the hats and berets, that – thanks to a captivating dialogue between Stephen Jones and Peter Doig – are based on the styles worn by the artist’s subjects. The Saddle bag, a menswear icon, is revealed in a cannetille version or sports a camouflage motif, while the Dior jewelry, designed by Yoon Ahn, pays tribute to Renaissance cameos and officers’ medals. Myriad encounters with art in all its forms, transcending eras and codes.
