Photographer David Sims frames newcomer Julia Bergshoeff for the Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2014/2015 campaign. Still in high school, the Dutch sweetheart, Bergshoeff was discovered in 2013 and has since been a favorite of Miu Miu’s and Prada’s casting director Ashley Brokaw. Proenza Schouler wasn’t far behind with the discovery of the freckled looker, since appearing in the Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2014 show, Proenza has taken Julia on as the new face of the brand. To frame the F/W 2014/15 campaign is the brilliant David Sims, who has since S/S 2013 been a regular at Proenza Schouler.
Compared to last season’s wild filter play, Sims has this time gone for a more neutral approach whilst still keeping Proenza’s cool youngster vibe in mind. Bergshoeff is posing face forward whilst seen in two exciting black & white pieces that both carry Proenza’s unique graphic prints of the F/W 2014/15 collection. Once again Sims proves how well he translates Proenza’s contemporary essence into his brilliant framings.
