Depop’s NYC Takeover Includes Pop-Ups, Parties, and Pride

Depop is staging a full-scale takeover of New York City this June, transforming the streets into a living billboard for secondhand fashion. Under the banner “New York is on Depop,” the resale platform is spotlighting real New Yorkers—stylists, students, and sellers—on subways, bus stops, and billboards across the five boroughs.

The campaign kicks off June 7 with a Pride-themed First Saturday at the Brooklyn Museum, where sellers @andvintageee, @Shopjuliananyc, and @Zemistar will showcase curated vintage collections alongside live performances and photo ops. That same day, Depop is teaming up with Brooklyn Stroll Club for a family-friendly morning event in Williamsburg, featuring a kidswear swap and sustainable fashion moments for stylish dads and their mini-mes.

On June 14, Depop will throw its first-ever NYC Block Party, bringing together local sellers, DJs, food trucks, and interactive installations in a celebration of community and circular style. Later in the month, a six-month collaboration with Cosmopolitan will kick off with an exclusive shop drop on June 17 and an IRL event in SoHo on June 21, hosted by Editor-in-Chief Willa Bennett.

Depop is amplifying its message nationwide with exclusive digital shop drops and curated collections that channel NYC’s eclectic energy. The platform, which recently eliminated U.S. selling fees, continues to champion sustainability, having helped save 300,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions and 9.2 billion liters of water through secondhand sales.
