Bottega Veneta is tapping into the spirit of movement with its latest campaign featuring brand ambassador Jacob Elordi. Shot by Alec Soth, known for his evocative storytelling, the campaign unfolds against the vast, untamed landscapes of Utah and Nevada, with Elordi navigating the desert’s raw beauty and modern architectural backdrops.
This campaign, titled “Going Places,” channels the brand’s signature focus on movement and travel. Elordi’s fluid, almost dance-like poses highlight Bottega’s new travel collection, bringing a fresh spin on the house’s legacy of craftsmanship. Established in 1966, Bottega Veneta was a pioneer, introducing leather goods that broke away from the stiff, formal designs of the time. Their supple, adaptable bags have always embraced a sense of ease, molded to the wearer in motion—a philosophy that continues under Creative Director Matthieu Blazy.
“Bottega Veneta is about movement,” says Blazy. “It’s fundamentally a brand that was built around the idea of going somewhere.” That ethos is vividly alive in these cinematic visuals, where Elordi carries new pieces like the canvas-and-leather Andiamo bag, whose name aptly translates to “Let’s go.” There’s also the rugged brown leather weekender, and a belt with a buckle inspired by a snake motif, symbolizing transformation and continuity.
Rooted in the brand’s Venetian origins, the campaign nods to Venice’s history of cross-cultural exchange—a city where ideas and artistry have always been in motion. Today, Bottega Veneta remains at the intersection of craftsmanship and modernity, staying true to its past while charting new territory.
For Elordi, this campaign isn’t just about showcasing products; it’s a journey—one where Bottega Veneta celebrates the art of traveling in style. It’s as much about where you’re headed as it is about the way you get there.
