Opening any show for Paris Fashion Week is not a small feat in itself, but to be a new face and open for Givenchy is an achievement on a totally different level. But that is exactly what Imaan Hammam, a young 16 year old Dutch, has fulfilled this past SS14 season. Hammam’s dark brows and bold lips are a definite breath of fresh air for an industry that can be steeply inclined toward models of a lighter complexion. With a veritable spot at Topshop Unique and Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2013 Haute Couture to boot, it is clear that Hammam has well and truly planted the seeds for a successful and refined career.
