Girard-Perregaux is dialing up nostalgia with a fresh take on its iconic Casquette. Originally debuting in 1976, the Casquette made a name for itself with a design that felt straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster. Now, the brand is reintroducing this classic with the Casquette 2.0 Titanium and Gold Edition, blending vintage allure with contemporary flair.
Crafted from Grade 5 titanium and accented with an 18K 2N yellow gold GP logo and matching pushers, the watch pays homage to its roots while embracing modern materials. Limited to 820 pieces, this edition is poised to become a coveted item among collectors and enthusiasts.
The timepiece features a distinctive tubular LED display that showcases hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date. Powered by the Calibre GP03980 movement, it also offers functionalities like month, year, chronograph, a second time zone, and a secret date display. Comfort meets style with a rubber-lined bracelet and a micro-adjustable clasp for a tailored fit.
In a nod to its dedicated community, Girard-Perregaux is offering early access to “GP lovers” from October 31 to November 14. During this period, loyal fans can secure the watch before it becomes available to the general public through the brand’s website and select boutiques, priced at $4,960.
This release underscores Girard-Perregaux’s commitment to blending heritage with innovation, catering to a new generation while honoring the legacy that made the Casquette a legend in the first place.
