Suzanne Koller, a distinguished stylist and the former fashion director at French Vogue, now leads the fashion department at Le Monde’s M Magazine. Originating from Vienna, Koller embarked on her journey in the creative world with a focus on graphic design in Geneva, harboring ambitions to enter the advertising sector. Upon completing her studies in 1992, Koller ventured to Paris, diving into the fashion magazine industry with internships at Elle and French Glamour. It was during this transformative period that she met Ezra Petronio, leading to the establishment of Petronio Associates in 1993. The agency quickly became synonymous with high-caliber branding and marketing for luxury titans such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Saint Laurent.

The following year marked the birth of Self Service, a biannual culture and fashion publication co-founded with Petronio. Koller, serving as its fashion director, aimed to create a conduit for emerging talent within the often rigid French fashion landscape, spotlighting future luminaries like Frédéric Sanchez and Nicolas Ghesquière.

2014 saw Koller transition to French Vogue, where she infused the magazine with her visionary styling for three years before moving to M Magazine. Her contributions have not been limited to these roles, with significant work in T Magazine, PRINT, The Gentlewoman, and Vogue Italia. Koller’s collaborations with photographers such as Paolo Roversi, Glen Luchford, Collier Schorr, and David Sims have been pivotal, emphasizing a shared vision and storytelling through imagery.

Her illustrious career was celebrated in the 2016 monograph “Red Lips, Attitudes and Other Obsessions,” a collaboration with the publisher Idea that compiled standout images from her tenure at Self Service and French Vogue. In 2019, Koller further expanded her influence by partnering with A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou to launch a capsule collection, continuing to leave an indelible mark on the world of fashion through her discerning eye and enduring contributions.
