Founded in 2005 by Holly Thaggard, Supergoop! emerged with a mission to revolutionize sun protection by making SPF an essential and enjoyable part of daily skincare routines. Thaggard’s inspiration stemmed from a personal experience when a close friend was diagnosed with skin cancer at a young age, highlighting the critical need for effective sun protection. Determined to change public perception of sunscreen from a beach-only commodity to a daily necessity, she focused on developing innovative, feel-good formulations that encourage consistent use. ​
