British actress Rebecca Hall confronts an identical double in “ANONYMITY,” a cinematic teaser directed by photographer Thibaut Grevet for Maison Margiela. The brand releases the Fall/Winter 2026 collection on September 9th, through brand flagships, online, and select stockists including HBX. Framed around an actress rehearsing for a role, the footage finds Hall shadowed by a duplicate sporting one-off face pieces assembled inside the Paris Artisanal workshop. Guided by Creative Director Glenn Martens, the production pulls its tense mood from the label's presentation in Shanghai, where figures paced past metal shipping crates piled high with reclaimed secondhand wares.

Heavy furniture jacquards, shredded across raw weave points, shape column dresses cut straight to the ankles. Edwardian silhouettes drop over ultra-fine jersey underlayers. Formal tailcoats lose their lower quarters, sliced blunt at the waistline with surplus raw cloth spilling from fused seams. Skirts coated in Bianchetto white paint reveal webbed fractures across the finish, uncovering darker base cloth.

Split-toe Tabi boots take on loomed floral brocade, joined by the glove-like Tabi Claw. Archival change purses shape the Link bag, built with rounded leather walls. Angular Box bags carry molded ceramic guards at the corners. Heavy metal neck chains come vacuum-sealed inside dark leather casing.
