Denim now holds its own corner of the Miu Miu wardrobe, a full selection the house traces to its late-1990s, utility-minded start.
Miu Miu's denim line covers four core fits, all in heavily worked blues from deep indigo to pale, washed soft and finished with an embroidered Miu Miu logo at front or back. Shade, fade, and whiskering do the aging, layered until each pair looks like it has years on it.

Each fit is for a different occasion. The oversized version carries an elongated palazzo leg. A loose boyfriend cut eases the line, offered in high- or mid-rise. The straight leg stays classic, narrower and shorter than the rest.
Denim took its name from the French city of Nîmes (de Nîmes, literally), and Miu Miu goes as far as calling it the most universally appealing fabric ever made, one the house styles polished or relaxed, ultra-feminine or gender-neutral.

Attitude beats age in the brand's pitch. The suggested pairings cover the whole closet: sneakers, loafers, aged footwear, masculine shirting, the label's own uniform-gray sweaters, tailoring. No two takes on the denim, Miu Miu promises, will ever match.
