Photographed by Craig McDean, the partnership riffs on James Dean and Sacai’s trademark hybrids.

Levi’s and Sacai return to each other with a spring ad campaign steeped in the insouciant spirit of James Dean.
Shot by Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer, the images place actress-model Chase Sui Wonders and model Chandler Frye on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, a setting that matches the collaboration’s off-duty ease. The campaign lands Monday on both brands’ social channels.
For women, the lineup spotlights three pieces: a boxy A-line denim jacket whose interior panels hold the sculptural line; a denim-and-matelassé twill hybrid jacket; and a bib-front jumpsuit with camisole straps and wide flared legs.

The men’s offer echoes those ideas with pared-back lines. It includes a denim jacket finished with custom sunspot gold shanks drawn from vintage Levi’s hardware; a reversible denim-and-matelassé blouson; and two nylon versions of the reversible blouson in indigo-black or blue-khaki.

A unisex ultra-wide baggy jean completes the range, built with a mid-rise and seven-pocket construction. Though Levi’s and Sacai have teamed up once before, this marks their first collaboration at this scale.
Availability rolls out through pop-ups at Selfridges on May 26 and Landmark Hong Kong on May 27, before a wider release on May 28 at levi.com, the Levi’s app, selected Levi’s flagships and Sacai stores worldwide.
