The new collection showcases airy fabrics, tailored silhouettes and subtle textural details in a stripped-back summer wardrobe.
Helmut Lang’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection has emerged as a finely edited synthesis of the brand’s classic minimalist identity and a subtly refreshed approach to modern dressing. Captured by photographer Daniel Shea and styled by Jason Rider, the lookbook highlights a modular summer wardrobe built from breezy, lightweight fabrics and roomy silhouettes. This collection arrives amid a changing of the guard at the label, marking designer Peter Do’s final collection as Helmut Lang’s creative director.
Despite its pared-back appearance, the collection is rich in nuanced design. Clean all-white ensembles are elevated with intricate touches – laser-cut poplin shirts are embroidered with tonal “HL” initials, while sheer knit crewnecks reveal tactile 3D ribbing beneath subtle translucent stripes. For a hint of evening polish, a boxy silk-charmeuse short-sleeve shirt is paired with pleated cotton twill “Zoot” trousers, and tailored pieces in malfilé fabric catch the light with understated luster. The label’s denim heritage runs through the lineup via vintage-washed, cocoon-legged jeans that modernize a classic silhouette, accompanied by a patina-distressed “Uniform” workshirt and even a bustier-inspired denim top reimagining tailored structure for everyday wear. Rounding out the range are garment-dyed jersey hoodies and tees with a gentle ombré fade, adding a quietly graphic touch to an otherwise tone-on-tone palette.
