On Monday night, Byredo and Willy Chavarria joined forces to celebrate the designer’s nomination for American Menswear Designer of the Year by the CFDA. The late-night event transformed Jean’s in Noho into a vibrant gathering of fashion and creativity.
Over 300 guests filled the space, which was bathed in rich red hues and lit by Byredo candles—a nod to the sensory elements integral to Chavarria’s design process. Roses and carnations adorned the venue, reflecting motifs prevalent in his work. Music by Eli Escobar, Marco Neves, and Devoye kept the energy high and the dance floor moving.
The guest list was a dynamic mix of fashion and entertainment personalities: Mahmood, Omar Apollo, Precious Lee, Danny Ramirez, Valentina Sampaio, Alex Consani, Alton Mason, Paloma Elsesser, Winnie Harlow, Addison Rae, Inez & Vinoodh, Susanne Bartsch, Rebecca Hall, Awefpaolng Chuol, Tanner Richie, Alix Earle, Steven Kolb, Tyler Mitchell, Mickalene Thomas, Alva Claire, LaQuan Smith, Raul Lopez, and, of course, Willy Chavarria himself.
Byredo and Chavarria share a passion for transforming emotions into tangible experiences. The event was more than a party—it was a celebration of the resilient spirit of American fashion and Chavarria’s visionary approach.
Recently, Chavarria’s latest collection at New York Fashion Week garnered critical acclaim for its bold silhouettes and poignant social commentary, further cementing his influence in menswear.
As the night unfolded, it became clear that this was a convergence of art, fashion, and community. With collaborators like Byredo amplifying his vision, Willy Chavarria’s impact on the industry continues to grow.
