Diane von Furstenberg to Receive 2025 Icon of Culture Honor at PAC NYC

Diane von Furstenberg has been named the 2025 PAC NYC Icon of Culture. She will receive the honor at the PAC NYC Icon of Culture Gala, to be held at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in October 2025.

The annual Icon of Culture Gala honors trailblazers for their creative influence and philanthropic impact on the cultural landscape. Von Furstenberg’s recognition highlights her enduring influence in both philanthropy and style.

Dianne Von Furstenberg first made her mark in the 1970s with the introduction of the now-iconic wrap dress, a design that became a symbol of women’s empowerment in fashion. She later served as chair of the Council of Fashion Designers of America from 2006 to 2019 and established a family foundation supporting women’s causes, bridging her fashion empire with philanthropic advocacy.

In New York, the honor was announced by PAC NYC’s chairman, Michael R. Bloomberg, alongside model Karlie Kloss at a preview event hosted by Printemps. This year’s ceremony will mark the second annual PAC NYC Icon of Culture Gala, continuing a tradition begun with inaugural honoree Tom Freston in 2024.
