At a gala dinner held at Milan’s elegant Villa Necchi Campiglio, Camera Moda Fashion Trust revealed its 2025 grant recipients, spotlighting emerging labels Francesco Murano, Institution by Galib Gassanoff, Lessico Familiare, and Moja Rowa. Selected from a strong shortlist of ten finalists among 80 initial applicants, each winning brand will receive a substantial €50,000 in funding, complemented by strategic mentorship aimed at cultivating their businesses and creative visions.

Francesco Murano, whose sculptural drapery caught Beyoncé’s attention even before his graduation from Milan’s Istituto Europeo di Design, plans to use the grant to establish a more robust business infrastructure. Institution’s Galib Gassanoff, formerly of Act N.1, envisions using the funds to enhance his atelier, emphasizing craftsmanship and direct-to-consumer tailoring. Lessico Familiare, founded by Riccardo Scaburri, Alberto Petillo, and Alice Curti, will leverage their grant to expand sourcing capabilities from individual upcycled pieces to larger deadstock supplies, reinforcing their sustainable, handcrafted approach.

Meanwhile, Moja Rowa’s Yelena Mojarova and Edward Benedikt Sittler, former Vivienne Westwood designers who relocated to Italy following a creative sabbatical in Mexico, will further their commitment to sustainable printing techniques and exclusive, limited-edition drops. Camera Moda Fashion Trust, founded in 2017, has distributed over €1.17 million to 35 designers to date, continually reshaping the narrative of Italy’s next-generation fashion talent through substantial financial backing and tailored guidance.
