Today, MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon elevate their ongoing partnership by launching their inaugural apparel capsule—a fusion of innovative design and transitional style that’s set to redefine urban wardrobes.
The collection is split into two distinct lines: Gore-Tex and Seamless. It reimagines universal classics by blending MM6’s iconic minimalist aesthetics with Salomon’s advanced activewear technology. The result? A lineup that’s both radically functional and essential.
For Autumn-Winter 2024, expect streamlined silhouettes in MM6’s signature nude tones, serving as a canvas for bold black and white accents on oversized formal pants and shirts. The pieces range from fitted, anatomical leggings and long-sleeve tops crafted with seamless stretch technology, to relaxed and protective outerwear like trench coats, straight-leg five-pocket pants, zipped windbreakers, and oversized button-downs—all made from breathable, water-repellent Gore-Tex fabric.
Footwear takes a spotlight with reinvented Salomon classics. The MM6 design team gives the ACS PRO 2 running shoe an urban makeover, offering it in sleek concrete gray with subtle silver accents and a rubberized matte black version featuring a glossy tar-black exoskeleton for an industrial edge.
The CROSS LOW MM6 Maison Margiela returns as a bold reinterpretation of the Salomon Speedcross trail runner. This season, it debuts in vibrant colorways: a mix of bubblegum pink and bright red, and an almond and army green combo accented with acid yellow and dark forest green. Its signature drawstring gaiter-style closure, connected to a high-tech molded sole via taped waterproof seams and featuring a reflective strip on the green style, merges extreme sportswear with retro waterproof footwear—a quintessential MM6 design twist bridging past and future.
Accessories round out the collection with the reimagined Trailblazer DAYPACK 20. Available in black or natural mastic ripstop nylon, the backpack features multiple pockets and a blend of flat and protruding shapes, enhancing functionality for the urban explorer.
Designed as an all-gender capsule, the collection encourages mixing, matching, and layering, encapsulating how activewear seamlessly influences streetwear and everyday fashion. It’s a sharp take on the modern uniform where running gear meets sophisticated urban style.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon ready-to-wear collection drops on November 7th and will be available on both brands’ e-commerce sites, in their boutiques, and at selected multi-brand retailers.
