Pirelli unveiled its 2025 calendar, “Refresh and Reveal,” at London’s Natural History Museum. Shot by Ethan James Green, the 51st edition captures moments from Miami’s Virginia Key Beach Park and an on-site studio during May and June.
This year’s calendar spotlights 12 talents across 24 images, each presented in both black-and-white and color. The lineup is a blend of actors, artists, and models: Hunter Schafer, Padma Lakshmi, Vincent Cassel, Elodie, Hoyeon, Martine Gutierrez, Connie Fleming, Jenny Shimizu, John Boyega, Simone Ashley, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Green himself—making him the third photographer to feature in his own Pirelli Calendar.
“Our general idea of beauty has expanded so much from what it used to be,” Green remarked on the calendar’s concept. “I was excited to explore beauty today and to present it in a context like the Pirelli Calendar, which has always celebrated it.”
Green aimed to explore today’s expanded notions of beauty, returning to the calendar’s roots by celebrating the human form in ways that resonate now. The concept embodies a fresh take on elegance and diversity.
Fashion director and creative consultant Tonne Goodman joined the project, calling the shoot an incredible experience. She highlighted Green’s appreciation for elegance and the queer world, noting how his sensitivity and boldness shine through in his imagery. Their collaboration brought a dynamic blend of studio mastery and artistic direction to the calendar.
