Designer Liam Maher's New Balance 2010 began alongside LM.RT’s first clothing collection. As the label developed Fall 2026’s Pockets of Light, New Balance visited its studio, where the myth of Daedalus and Icarus shared space with references to My Dinner with Andre. The resulting collaboration carries that collection’s colors and textures into footwear, with amber and copper interrupting a dark brown upper.
The side “N” has a translucent amber finish and copper-colored backing. Walnut-brown full-grain leather and mesh form the base, with black nubuck and hair-on leather adding different surfaces across the upper. The color combination extends to three included sets of laces in ash-black, chocolate-brown and sun-gold.
LM.RT stands for Liam Maher Rural Tailor. Maher traces the label’s approach to an Irish country tailor on his father’s side and a Welsh master weaver on his mother’s, both his great-grandfathers. His clothing combines workwear references with tailoring, giving fabric, fastenings and internal details a substantial role in otherwise familiar shapes.
The New Balance 2010 Designed by LM.RT is priced at ¥24,200 (approximately $155 USD), including tax in Japan, through LM.RT’s online store.
