Rick Owens has never let anyone else tell his story. This summer he’s doubling down, releasing Temple of Love, a self-curated exhibition at Paris’s Palais Galliera, alongside an equally personal book published by Rizzoli. Both projects are entirely driven by Owens, marking his first comprehensive Paris exhibition and offering a direct line into the designer’s distinct, self-styled mythology.

Opening June 28 at Palais Galliera, the show gathers more than 100 defining looks spanning almost 30 years, placed alongside concrete sculptures, archival pieces, and immersive video installations. The personal dimension peaks with a meticulous recreation of the bedroom Owens shares with his partner and creative force Michèle Lamy, highlighting the private roots of his public vision.

The book, releasing June 24, matches the intensity of the exhibition. Essays by Owens himself, alongside curators Miren Arzalluz and Alexandre Samson, cut straight to the core of his provocative aesthetic, dissecting the forms and materials behind his famed silhouettes.
