The current S 1070 table specification cuts the massive plane straight down the longitudinal axis. Thonet representatives indicate this physical division gives owners the mechanical option to mix distinct panel colors across a single base.
Both the table and the seating separate into SERIOUS and NORDIC hardware categories. Smoked glossy titanium coats the steel on the darker track. High-gloss accents intersect with graphite-toned hides in black, ruby red, green, or blue. Shifting the temperature, a matte nickel silver finish projecting a golden shimmer anchors the lighter alternative. White pigmented oak details break up the alloy, meeting pale upholstery in burnt walnut or alabaster white.

Adjusting a 1932 factory template, the S 411 lounge chair relies on an S-shaped skeleton terminating in armrest covers shaped like skate blades. Jil Sander constructed a uniform volume by encasing the sprung cushions in hide, applying a piped backing and minimizing the exterior seams. The resulting block pairs with a coordinating S 411 H footstool, scaled to align with the B 97 nesting tables released in 2025. Technicians engrave the “JS. THONET” mark directly into every metal frame.
