High-performance eyewear brand Revo has launched a new line called NRGY with global music icon J Balvin stepping in as creative director. NRGY blends Revo’s NASA-born lens technology with Balvin’s creative vision, promising to “deliver something entirely new” to the luxury eyewear market.

Balvin first teamed up with Swedish designer Mattias Gollin in 2024 to create a 3D-printed prototype called Mark I, which the singer famously wore on stage and in music videos. After overwhelming interest in that initial design, the duo joined forces with Revo to launch NRGY commercially – a collaboration the brand bills as “the future of eyewear design”.

The “CXN_01” collection, NRGY’s debut lineup, offers 40 styles drawing inspiration from the “invisible architecture that connects us all” – a cosmic nod to concepts like quantum entanglement, dark matter and planetary resonance. Each piece carries subtle branding details such as a three-atom logo motif, and a limited-run signature frame (the Mark II, inspired by Balvin’s original 2024 “lightning goggles”) is available for pre-order now ahead of the full launch on NRGY’s website on June 25.

Balvin frames the venture as the realization of a longtime dream, noting he has always wanted to “touch different parts of culture” outside of music. He calls this collaboration “a really good first step” toward his goal of designing across different projects.
