Naomi Campbell wore ArdAzAei couture to Audemars Piguet’s celebration for the Royal Oak “Serena Williams” Limited Edition in New York. Stylist Jenke Ahmed Tailly dressed her in a white gown combining rose-patterned tulle with white and silver lurex lace.
Corsetry brought a sensuality to the floral lace, while embroidery incorporating glass beads and silk mousseline gave the surface a richly textured finish. The gathered silk georgette skirt added softness to the elaborate construction.
ArdAzAei was founded in Stockholm by Swedish-Iranian designer Bahareh Ardakani and Johannes Falk. The house made its Paris debut in 2022 and joined the official haute couture calendar as a guest member in 2024. Its name combines Ardakani’s parents’ surnames, and its couture is made in its Paris atelier.
Ardakani trained in mathematics and design engineering before studying gemology in Antwerp. Her interest in the internal structures of gemstones informs the label’s approach to shape and light. Scandinavian modernism and Persian floral and geometric motifs also influence her work, developed through techniques including hand embroidery, smocking and pleating.
