Huntington-Whiteley’s style brought some ease to the formal tailoring, with the sleeves pushed back and the neckline left bare. A large Midnight clutch in smooth leather kept the accessories understated, while Romy slingbacks combined transparent panels with satin and patent leather. Dark sunglasses and loose blonde hair added an informal finish.
The tuxedo’s connection to the house stretches back sixty years. Yves Saint Laurent introduced Le Smoking in his Fall/Winter 1966 collection, adapting the men’s tuxedo for women. He went on to include a tuxedo in every collection through 2002, making it a lasting part of the house’s design language.
