Song Jia attended Andy Warhol’s Banal Objects exhibition in Beijing wearing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. She paired a brown lambskin jacket with the house’s ’70s high-rise jeans and carried a medium Simone bag in olive suede.
Gold jewelry gave Song Jia’s style for the event a dressier finish, with Small Cassandre earrings and a Wavy cuff adding shine against the matte suede. Pushed-back sleeves kept the styling relaxed, while a low bun brought the earrings into focus.
The Simone bag is a recent addition to Saint Laurent’s accessories, inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s personal letters and the envelope pouches of the 1970s and 1980s. Her olive suede version reinforced the 1970s references already present in the brown leather and denim.
On view at Saint Laurent Rive Droite Beijing through November 26, Banal Objects brings together Warhol’s photographs of everyday objects from the late 1970s.
