Summary

The latest output from the ongoing partnership between Nike and Jacquemus leaves the city stadium behind for the alpine ridge. Grounded in a mix of high-performance materials and the French designer’s specific aesthetic codes, the Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski apparel collection attempts to bridge the gap between technical gear and the distinct style of mountain living.

Simon Porte Jacquemus frames this project as a personal one. “I have always been a fan of skiing: It’s my favorite sport and has been my favorite winter getaway since I was young,” says Simon Porte Jacquemus. “Ski attire has always fascinated me, and I’m a big collector of vintage ’80s ski pieces. This collection with Nike is an opportunity for me to bring a new fashion story into our collaboration and into the ski community, which is a first for me.”

The 18-piece lineup focuses on the needs of snowboarders, skiers, and those who simply favor the atmosphere of a winter resort. Function acts as the anchor here. The designers placed triple-layer GORE-TEX jackets and pants at the center of the offering to handle conditions ranging from heavy snow to the social hours following a run.

One standout piece is a two-in-one GORE-TEX jacket. It combines a windproof and waterproof exterior shell with a zip-in interior bomber jacket. This liner provides warmth through Primaloft insulation and displays a Swoosh on the chest with Jacquemus branding across the shoulders. A second style for women mirrors this use of waterproof materials but applies them to a tailored shape that recalls the hero silhouettes found in the main Jacquemus line. The matching GORE-TEX pants finish the look (complete with removable jacquard straps and signature J belt loops).

“Working with technical fabrics, learning from the best, and bringing forward a minimal and modern execution was a super interesting process for me, in the Jacquemus way,” says Simon.

Beyond the outerwear, the collection offers pieces suited for movement. A women’s woven jumpsuit uses soft and water-repellent fabric to create a slim fit. The leggings take a cue from vacation staples with an ultra-high waist and stirrups at the hem. A lightweight bralette with a curved hem at the bust rounds out the women’s offering.

Menswear pieces receive a similar treatment of practical updates. The long-sleeve top includes thumb holes to accommodate mittens and works as either a standalone item or an insulating layer. Even the classic Jacquemus men’s shirt gets a mountain adjustment (featuring water-repellent fabric alongside a chest pocket and back J loop).

This winter release follows a series of collaborative efforts starting in 2022 which originally pulled from vintage Nike ACG and 1990s campaigns. The pair recently worked on the Le Swoosh bag and a Summer 2024 collection that looked to Paris for inspiration. Most recently they updated the Moon Shoe originally hand-built by Bill Bowerman.

The Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski apparel collection arrives November 26 at jacquemus.com and Jacquemus stores. A release at nike.com and select retailers follows on December 3.
