Courrèges Turns Selfies into the Season’s Lookbook

Eighteen friends of the house shoot Courrèges’ latest looks against Paris streets.

Nicolas Di Felice left the studio behind and let Paris hold the mirror. For the Courrèges SS26 pre-collection, he invited 18 friends of the house—Apolline Rocco Fohrer, Elodie Guipaud, Axel Gay, TOCCORORO, Paul Barge, Jacqui Hooper, Stella Hanan, Nastassia Legrand, Samuel Elie and more—to turn their phones on themselves. The lookbook follows the “Mirrors of Paris” selfie current, catching monuments, graffiti and lunchtime clutter in the same frame as the clothes. The approach brackets Courrèges’ polished instinct with the street-level realism that has always set the label apart.

Archetypes collide throughout the lineup. A trench’s belt and fabric-clad buckle migrate: they frame the collar of a bubble-cut blouson, cinch skin-tight lycra trousers, and shrink into the straps of a cut-out top. The 1964 cap sleeve sharpens a floor-length polo dress and men’s tees, while micro-houndstooth tweed cuts a mini-skort built for pace. Boxy football jerseys meet maxi-skirts, pushing sport into evening without fuss. Volume plays both ways—puffed, then pared back—while categories glide between menswear and womenswear.

Accessories keep the pace practical. The new Strip bag folds in on itself under magnetic flaps, hides a zipped top pocket, and snaps shut with a clasp. Archive-leaning flats trade height for ease; folded kitten heels peek from flared hems; glove-fit boots rework the 1965 flat style, keeping the Sixties hum alive.

A palette of translucent mint, powder pink and bon-ton beige threads through the collection, light enough for July asphalt yet steady against Paris’s stone. By letting the community run the lens, Di Felice positions himself as observer, content to watch the clothes find their own reflection in the city’s everyday mirrors.
