The Jason Wu Spring Summer 2023 collection celebrates the art of dressing up and the rebirth of a place I have called home for 22 years…America’s fashion capital, New York City.
“I collaborated with Italian contemporary artist Leonardo Pucci, who provided the foundation for the collection’s sensual and provocative print language. He explores the art of “Shibari”, a Japanese bondage technique that highlights the juxtaposition between fragility and strength contrasted with vividly beautiful florals. I engineered the prints onto a multitude of modern fabrications.

I wanted to focus on highlighting the beauty of the garment’s interior through inside-out construction, creating a key detail seen throughout the collection. People are dressing up again and now every moment is a moment and why shouldn’t it be? If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that these moments are fleeting, and every second should be celebrated.
This collection is a true celebration of American craftsmanship and the revival of an era that has inspired me for decades.” — Jason Wu
