Blending mid-2000s track-and-field aesthetics with delicate ballet flat lines, New York homeware brand Gohar World and ASICS anchor their first-ever footwear collaboration in a surrealist design. The Gohar World x ASICS GEL-DS TRAINER SP is an experimental sneaker built with a TRUSSTIC support unit and rearfoot GEL technology.
Laila Gohar says the comfortable design accommodates effortless transitions from early mornings at the market to evenings around the table. Referencing signature whimsy, bespoke charms inform the exterior. Manufacturing renders the footwear in one predominantly black colorway. Extending beyond the techy mesh, stainless-steel piercings dictate the highly textured finish.
With an emphasis on personalization, the release shapes the bespoke pearl charms, the round Black Onyx stone, and the silver-plated copper Gohar Bean logo. Sisters Laila and Nadia Gohar designed the iteration to translate that hyperfeminine glamor to everyday footwear.
On September 1st, the sneaker will be sold exclusively on the Gohar World website.
