Niels Schneider wore Saint Laurent in Paris, pairing a Winchester shirt in sateen-stripe cotton poplin with a striped silk-jacquard tie. Fluid trousers in charcoal pinstripe brushed wool felt and Stanton derbies in glazed leather completed the outfit.
The mix of stripes gave Schneider’s style a graphic character. The shirt’s contrast-striped collar and cuffs introduced variations within the same garment, with the tie and finer trouser pinstripes extending the effect. Keeping the palette restrained made the pattern mixing feel cohesive, while the fluid tailoring and absence of a jacket brought ease to the formal pieces.
Schneider’s recent screen work includes Arthur Harari’s The Unknown (L’Inconnue), in which he stars alongside Léa Seydoux. Released in France on August 26, the film is also part of the 64th New York Film Festival’s Main Slate.
