Chastain portrays Ursula alongside her uncanny duplicate, confronting Arabella Olivia Clark as eight-year-old daughter Bela. Jay Duplass plays Russ, the father caught in the household collapse. The production carries an R rating from the MPA for bloody violence and language, tracking a domestic haunting where the entity emerges from Bela's bedroom closet each night, demanding permission to enter the child's heart. Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen join the cast, with Allen appearing as the matriarch Grandma Ruth.
