The track updates the fast-paced basslines of her spring cut "Crank," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Dance Albums chart after arriving on March 27 on her third studio album Wor$t Girl in America. Producers Austin Corona and Wyatt Bernard shaped the audio around clipped percussion and distorted electronic hooks, pushing the earlier song's tempo into harsher territory.
The self-directed visual places Slayyyter beside an ensemble of backup dancers executing synchronized choreography against bare studio lighting. Visual motifs scattered throughout the frames link directly to Wor$t Man in America, an "inverse album" planned as a thematic counterpart to her previous record. Slayyyter adopted an identical restructuring tactic on July 31 with "Brand New Chanel$," stripping the grit from Wor$t Girl in America selection "Beat Up Chanel$" and recasting the mix as expansive, club-sized dance-pop.
Concert dates continue through this fall on the sold-out Wor$t Girl in the World Tour, which launched with three dates in St. Louis and reaches Columbia, Maryland, on September 27 for the All Things Go Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The itinerary travels to Phoenix, Denver, Chicago, and Toronto before Pearly Drops and Kalika join supporting slots across the United Kingdom and Europe in October.
