Lindsey Jordan is back on Matador with her first record since Valentine.

Snail Mail Returns After Five Years with Ricochet
Lindsey Jordan by Daria Kobayashi Ritch.

Summary

Lindsey Jordan spent a freezing night in rural North Carolina dodging cops just to get the shot. Law enforcement arrived because Jordan and co-director Elsie Richter decided to light off fireworks between sundown and 4 a.m. for the “Dead End” music video. That chaotic clip introduces Ricochet, the first full-length Snail Mail record to hit shelves since 2021.

Matador set the March 27 release date, ending a five-year gap where the Baltimore native stayed busy with side quests. Her schedule included acting in Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw the TV Glow, organizing a hometown festival, and ripping through covers of Pavement and Lou Reed. Those smaller projects now yield to a massive North American trek beginning April 10 in Milwaukee.

Sharp Pins joins the run as primary support, while select cities get sets from Swirlies, Rocket, and Avalon Emerson and the Charm. The road trip hits major markets like Toronto and Los Angeles before Jordan flies out for a final bow in London on June 26.
