Jorja Smith will release her third album, What Are The Odds, on August 21 through FAMM. The British singer broke the news July 3 with "Alive," a Wizkid collaboration that leads the record, backed by a Gabriel Trautmann-directed video of the two singers dancing and flirting through a Paris summer night. "Alive" plays like the start of a crush at full volume, all nerve and anticipation."

P2J, her regular collaborator, produced all 12 tracks. The two started sketching a dance record shortly after finishing "Little Things," their 2023 hit. Across the album: UK garage, grime, 2-step, UK funky, soulful house, and Afro house. Wizkid aside, the only other guest is grime rapper Devlin, on "This City," a rework of his 2010 track "London City."

This year Smith has contributed an original song to Riz Ahmed's Prime Video series Bait, appeared on the first season of Saturday Night Live UK, and marked ten years of her breakout single "Blue Lights." August 21 doubles as a stage date: she co-headlines London festival All Points East with Tems.
