Charli XCX has released the B-sides to Music, Fashion, Film, three days after the album itself. The three tracks, "I Keep on Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night," "Playboy Bunny," and "If You Take Away the Music Then What Has She Got?", live exclusively on iTunes, each paired with a black-and-white video that matches the album's visual world.
Music, Fashion, Film is her follow-up to Brat. On her private Instagram, Charli explained that she wrote a B-side for every song released ahead of the album, calling each one "adjacent to the album but not entirely part of it." She noted that B-sides have a way of turning into fan favorites, and admitted that some of these already have.
The iTunes-only release came with a caveat. Charli wrote that she "felt adamant" about keeping the songs off streaming because putting them there "felt counter intuitive to the whole ethos of those songs," then gave in to demand and "begrudgingly put them on itunes lol." She signed off: "you can call me a hypocrite, I don't mind ;)"
