Miley Cyrus has officially dropped her last name, rebranding as the mononym Miley ahead of her upcoming album “Bass Persuades. The project arrives September 18th via Atlantic, landing just over a year after her previous record, “Something Beautiful.”
The artist detailed the significance of the album title in a social media statement. “Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on,” she wrote. “It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.”
Following the album's release, the singer will perform a two-night run at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16th and 18th.
