The Artist Plate Project returns this spring with its 2025 edition, bringing together a compelling mix of contemporary art and social impact. Launched by the Coalition for the Homeless, the initiative features limited-edition dinner plates designed by over 50 artists, including Takashi Murakami, Amy Sherald, KAWS, and Cindy Sherman. Each plate, priced at $250, is part of an edition of 250, with proceeds providing meals and support to New Yorkers experiencing homelessness.

The first 100 plates from each edition will debut at Frieze New York, running from May 7 to 11. The remaining plates will be available online through Artware Editions starting May 13 at 10 AM EST.

Since its inception in 2020, the Artist Plate Project has raised over $7 million, collaborating with more than 150 artists to fund essential services like food, housing, and job training. Each plate sold can provide over 100 meals to those in need.

This year’s roster includes both established and emerging artists, such as Alexander Calder, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, and Tschabalala Self. The project not only offers collectors a chance to own unique pieces but also supports a vital cause in the city.

For those looking to acquire these plates, early attendance at Frieze New York is recommended, as the initial releases are expected to sell quickly. Online shoppers should be ready when the sale goes live on Artware Editions.
