Collaborating with French designer Pierre Favresse, the collection introduces “The Essentials”—a series of fourteen meticulously crafted items. These include bookends, bookstands, trinket boxes, a tray, a frame, a backgammon set, an hourglass, and a magnifying glass. Each piece draws inspiration from the Assouline family’s cherished heirlooms, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. Crafted from fine materials like walnut wood, soft leather, and brass, the items are available in the brand’s signature colors of red, camel, and brown.

Alexandre Assouline, now at the helm of the family business, emphasizes the intention behind the collection: to provide foundational pieces for a contemporary library. “I began by brainstorming what felt essential,” he notes, highlighting the inclusion of items like magnifying glasses and backgammon sets to add both utility and a touch of playfulness to the space.

Complementing the physical objects are home fragrances presented in amber glass vessels. These candles and diffusers offer scents ranging from smoky wood and leather to deep tobacco, aiming to create an atmosphere conducive to reflection and inspiration.
The Library Collection is more than a series of decorative items; it’s an invitation to reimagine the home library as a curated space that celebrates culture, design, and personal history.
