Dries Van Noten’s Los Angeles outpost continues its fusion of style and art with the unveiling of Harley Cortez’s new exhibition, OJALÁ, at the Little House Gallery from February 20 to March 20, 2025. The show marks the latest step in the brand’s ongoing commitment to creative dialogues—following the launch of its fragrance collection in 2022—and reinforces how fashion and fine art can share the same space in fresh, unexpected ways.

Cortez, a multi-disciplinary artist with roots in Los Angeles, Queens, and Guatemala, brings together paintings, sculpture, music, and cinematic references, including a nod to David Lynch. “I titled this exhibition OJALÁ because I wanted to invite hope into the conversation around our interdependence and how that is linked to our ancestral memory,” he says. By placing ideas of inherited experience and migratory patterns at the forefront, the artist prompts an introspective look at how movement across borders can shape both identity and creativity.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Grief x Hope, a group supporting artists recovering from the recent wildfires in the region. Cortez’s history includes exhibitions in New York, Berlin, Mexico City, and Tokyo, as well as a recognized solo show at Georges Bergès Gallery. Previous projects have featured immersive installations and collaborations with NASA-affiliated scientists, underscoring his wide-ranging approach to storytelling and visual art.
Through OJALÁ, Dries Van Noten offers a stage for probing our deep-seated connections and shared hopes, emphasizing how art can transcend distances. This event at the Little House Gallery highlights the brand’s ongoing mission to bring new perspectives to the intersection of fashion and culture in Los Angeles.
