Moschino’s Pre-Fall 2025

Adrian Appiolaza, who took the reins as Moschino‘s creative director in January, is hitting his stride with his fourth collection for the house. The Buenos Aires-born designer is carving out a vibrant path for the Italian label, and his latest Pre-Fall 2025 lineup is a testament to that vision. Escaping to a villa just outside Milan, Appiolaza teamed up with photographer Chris Rhodes to create a lookbook playfully inspired by British aristocracy.

Set against the opulent backdrop, the collection dances between sharp sophistication and whimsical charm. On one side, there’s impeccably tailored formalwear: think plaid blazers, luxurious wool overcoats, corduroy pants, and straight-leg trousers that could easily grace a royal gathering. On the flip side, Appiolaza injects a burst of exuberance with wild prints—reviving archival smiley faces and cloud motifs that swirl across knit dresses and crisp button-ups. Accessories make their own statements, embracing Moschino’s signature quirkiness with fluffy pom-pom scarves, top-hat-shaped bags, and miniature books clutched by models throughout the shoot.

In a nod to heritage, Appiolaza collaborated with Sanderson, the renowned textile company supplying fabrics to Royal Residences since 1924. Together, they crafted artistic floral prints that bloom across suits, gowns, and bow-tied tops. Adding to the nostalgic flair, simple landscape illustrations from Franco Moschino’s archives reappear on youthful sweaters and oversized shirts, guaranteed to spark a smile.
