Louis Vuitton’s latest Fall Men’s Capsule Collection marks a dynamic fusion of the brand’s storied elegance with the contemporary flair of Pharrell Williams. Williams infuses his distinctive style, embodying a seamless blend of city sophistication and laid-back weekend vibes. The collection introduces a fresh interpretation of classic menswear, characterized by innovative silhouettes and an interplay of textures and colors that challenge the conventional dress codes of the Maison.
Central to this collection is an artistic collaboration with the estate of the late Park Seo-Bo, a South Korean painter celebrated for his minimalist yet impactful approach. Before his passing in 2023, Park had previously teamed up with Louis Vuitton on the 2019 ArtyCapucines project. This new venture with the Park Seo-Bo estate breathes life into his work through ready-to-wear, leather goods, and shoes, offering a visual and tactile exploration of color and form.
The collection’s outerwear commands attention with a classic black single-breasted cashmere overcoat paired with a sleek grey wool tracksuit, setting a refined yet relaxed tone. The iconic Epi leather, inspired by the fluidity of wheat fields, is reimagined in a larger scale, adding a layer of intrigue to a beige double-breasted coat, a utilitarian beige blouson, and mocha and light blue leather bomber jackets. A standout piece includes a cropped red double-breasted leather suit with flared trousers, exemplifying the collection’s daring yet wearable aesthetic.
The Monogram Macro pattern makes a bold statement, scaling up the familiar monogram flowers on black suede blousons, grey denim suits, and mocha gradient windbreakers. Meanwhile, the LV Blason motif dances across garments, seen in pieces like a black lambskin overshirt and a raw-blue denim suit. This motif finds further expression in a black velvet shirt, drawing inspiration from Park Seo-Bo’s Écriture series painting No. 960728.
Park Seo-Bo’s artistry is vividly interpreted in richly colored jacquards, weaving the subtle textures and depth of his lines into a selection of luxurious pieces. These include a black velvet tracksuit, a maple red wool coat, and a neon green blouson inspired by the painter’s signature lines. Each garment is marked with a tag mimicking Park’s signature, a nod to his artistic legacy.
In leather goods, Park Seo-Bo’s linear art is harmoniously integrated with the signature Epi leather, reimagined with vertical lines that echo the painter’s work. Each bag is a masterpiece, drawing from Park’s Écriture series, with colorways ranging from air blue to neon green and maple red. The collection includes an air blue Christopher backpack, a neon green Sac Plat, and a maple red Alma, all lined in beige reminiscent of traditional Korean hanji paper. Accessories like the LV Trainer Maxi and the LV Checker boot bring the artist’s lines into the realm of footwear, fusing art with fashion.
The capsule’s subtle play on detail is evident in the Monogram Gradient canvas, which softly fades Louis Vuitton’s emblematic pattern across a range of bags, from the Discovery Backpack to the Keepall. Meanwhile, the LV Aerogram line streamlines the brand’s icons into sleek, aviation-inspired designs rendered in encre navy blue and mocha leathers. This collection includes essentials like the Pilot Tote and the Takeoff Backpack, offering a blend of utility and style.
Accessories complement the collection with classic scarves adorned in the LV Blason pattern, ribbed knit Comfy Scarves with matching beanies, and a black cotton cap featuring subtle LV embroidery. A silk square screen-printed with a Park Seo-Bo painting adds a touch of artistic elegance. The collection’s jewelry continues the silver theme introduced earlier this year, featuring pieces like a necklace, bracelet, and ring in Silver 925, all engraved with LV motifs and the Epi texture.
