Anthony Seklaoui

Anthony Seklaoui grew up in Nice, a city shaped by the mix of his Lebanese father and Australian mother. He trained in filmmaking there, then moved to Paris, where still photography drew him back. His eye shifts naturally between the camera and the film reel, framing moments with an energy that feels both direct and lighthearted.
He cites the French cinema of the ’70s and ’80s as a key influence, mirroring its unfiltered spontaneity in his imagery. That sense of candid observation runs through his collaborations with i-D, Vogue France, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and Self Service, and extends to commercial projects for Jacquemus, JW Anderson, Maison Alaïa, and Chanel. At the heart of his approach is a simple pursuit: capturing life as it is, with an openness that resonates in every shot.
