Samuel Ross is a dynamic figure on the creative frontier. Born in Brixton, London, to parents of Caribbean heritage, Ross made his mark in fashion through A-COLD-WALL*, a brand he founded in 2014 as a study in the intersection of luxury sportswear and social commentary. Over nearly a decade, he transformed the brand into a global phenomenon, with sought-after collaborations like the 2023 A-COLD-WALL* x Nike campaign—his final contribution before stepping away.

Ross began his creative journey alongside Virgil Abloh, serving as Abloh’s first design assistant. This experience sharpened his instincts and helped him shape a new vision of streetwear—one that spoke to class, community, and culture.

In 2019, Ross launched SR_A, a multidisciplinary studio exploring the boundary between art and industrial design. He also founded The Black British Artist Grants Programme in 2020, providing financial support to over 50 emerging artists and connecting them with major institutions like the V&A Museum and The Royal College of Art.

Ross’s influence is felt not only through his work but also in the opportunities he creates for others and the conversations he sparks about design and social impact. He’s a creative who is actively shaping what’s next.
