Chanel Fall / Winter 2022 / 2023 Pre-Collection

Long romantic coats in wool or black velvet counterbalanced with tweeds and contemporary knits in acidic green and fuchsia. Eveningwear, tops and waistcoats in black flocked lace embellished with beads and embroidery, as well as dresses in stretch velvet and black lace, that dialogue with jeans and total looks in leather … The Fall-Winter 2022/23 pre-collection exudes an elegant, stately demeanour.

A series of pea coats, riding jackets and coats with a finely honed silhouette are worn over black lace tights. Trousers fitted at the ankle and their matching jackets in navy tweed embroidered with shimmering threads encounter suits and an overcoat in pop-green tweed, worn with a masculine white shirt or with 80s-inspired fuchsia knitwear.

Jeans printed with the emblematic quilted motif come in various shapes: slim-fitted or darted with coordinating jackets; men’s shirts, sometimes pure white, sometimes with blue stripes, feature contrasting black velvet collars and are combined with tweed jackets and sharply-cut coats, twisting their deceptively sensible edge.

The blue camellia floral print unfurling over shirt dresses and jumpsuits with embroidered tweed-style jewelled pockets, is accompanied by an oversize black knitted jacket embellished with jewelled buttons that adopt the codes of CHANEL: the NÂș5, camellia, bow …

A cloud theme comes to life with the dark-hued tweed outfits inlaid with pieces of white chiffon, and is accorded with androgynous suits and riding trousers. Echoed by little jackets fashioned from a wadded velvet, embroidered with shiny sequins, it also comes as evening
tracksuits, a mini skirt and a strapless dress.

A long velvet tweed coat is coupled with a CHANEL suit revisited as a three-piece version, dyed an acidic fuchsia. Wide-cut leather culottes trimmed with velvet are sported with a smocked black velvet mini down jacket embroidered with sequins, while a jumpsuit and a jacket and trouser outfit in black leather, worn with a large coloured scarf, evoke the world of Formula One.

Black velvet riding jackets are trimmed with pink, yellow or blue tweed at the cuffs and collar while a shouldered short trench coat with a belt appears alongside black and gold sheepskin jackets, as well as an embellished faux fur jacket.

Finally, dresses and mini jackets in black lace adorned with camellias intermingle with daytime pyjamas and asymmetrical dresses in cream silk jacquard, inspired by sautoir necklaces created by Gabrielle Chanel that featured her favourite sentences.
