Laylow drops something sharper than your average furniture reveal: a metal chair from Age of Digital, the avant-garde studio introducing its first-ever creation by Osman Mercan. Mercan, the French founder of TBMA—an event production company that Laylow is part of—isn’t exactly new to pushing cultural buttons. Still, this move feels different. This chair, they say, “transcends civilizations, founded on form and function, infinitely interpretable.”
The silhouette leans into something almost ancient yet future-facing. It’s pure metal, “as if mercury were frozen in this solid form,” with a negative-space cutout on the back that doubles as a logo. Limited to just 19 numbered pieces, it arrives on December 16. Good luck getting one.
