Beware of the Crocodile A290 Rallye

Lacoste's crocodile has landed on an Alpine race car. The Beware of the Crocodile Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye is a one-off car, built on the A290 Rallye, the most extreme version Alpine makes.

Alpine treats the A290 Rallye as the clearest signal of where its electric motorsport program is heading: compact, agile, and, by the carmaker's account, more accessible.

The same crocodile turns up on a capsule of polos, T-shirts, lightweight outerwear, caps, and key rings.

In a film called The Test, Pierre Niney, the actor and Lacoste ambassador, plays himself opposite Pierre Gasly, the BWT Alpine Formula One driver and another Lacoste ambassador. The two of them circle the one-off car and play it for comedy, heavy on control and mischief.

Lacoste drops the capsule July 30 on its European e-commerce, at the brand's flagships in Paris and London, and its stores in the racing cities of Le Mans and Monaco.
