Slowtide and LA Artists Unite to Support Wildfire Relief

Slowtide, a Los Angeles-based label known for its eco-minded towels, is stepping up for its hometown after recent wildfires. Its new limited-edition release taps Cleon Peterson, Geoff McFetridge, Jen Stark, Thomas Campbell, Robbie Simon, Ty Williams, Anna Fusco, Dabs Myla, and Real Fun. Wow! (Daren Thomas Magee) for designs that channel the city’s creative pulse. For several collaborators, this effort hits close to home, with some losing studios or residences in the fires.

“Los Angeles holds a special place in our hearts — it’s home to our friends, family, and so many talented artists we’ve had the privilege of working with over the years. But right now, our artist community is hurting,” the brand wrote. “The road to recovery is long, but together, we can make an impact.”

All proceeds from these towels benefit the LAFD Foundation, an organization that provides funding and resources to the city’s fire department. Each piece measures 30 by 60 inches, retails for $50, and is made using recycled materials. Slowtide, which has expanded into home goods such as blankets over the past year, remains committed to sustainable production. Full details on this charitable collection are available on Slowtide’s website.
