Collina Strada’s Fresh Take on PUMA’s Mostro

Collina Strada’s latest collaboration with PUMA has just hit the shelves, marking the duo’s second partnership following last year’s unexpected Velophasis and Suede XL releases. The brand, helmed by Hillary Taymour, unveiled the Mostro reboot at New York Fashion Week, offering a playful take on a sneaker that’s been catching eyes again, thanks in part to A$AP Rocky’s recent influence.

The drop includes three versions of PUMA’s iconic silhouette. There’s a bold plaid edition, a soft pink design dubbed “Pink Quartz,” and a minimal white option. Each pair arrives with extra sets of tongue flaps, oversized floral details on the upper, and a co-branded logo. The structure is made partly from recycled materials, in line with Collina Strada’s ongoing commitment to eco-conscious design.

“Working with PUMA on the Mostro was such a nostalgic experience,” Taymour says. “It was a shoe I wore constantly in the early 2000s. Revisiting it through a design lens was so much fun.”

Taymour, known for runway shows packed with playful shapes and emphasis on sustainability, channels that energy into this $160 sneaker. Now available worldwide, it’s proof that the early aughts are still very much in the conversation, and Collina Strada is determined to keep the dialogue going.
