Dua Lipa is the Face of the CHANEL 25 Handbag Campaign

Dua Lipa is stepping into a new role with Chanel, fronting the campaign for the house’s latest handbag, the Chanel 25. Known for her bold personal style and global influence, the singer-songwriter brings her signature energy to the campaign, which debuts with a film by director Gordon von Steiner.

Set in New York, the campaign channels the dynamic pace of the city, blending music and fashion in a way that feels distinctly Dua. The film follows her through Manhattan’s streets and into a photo studio, all set to the unmistakable beat of She Drives Me Crazy by Fine Young Cannibals. “I love that song. It’s such an anthem from the ‘90s, and I’ve always loved that era—probably because that’s when I was born,” she shares. “I find it so inspiring, whether it’s fashion, music, or film. This song felt like the perfect match for that freedom of expression—it allowed me to dive into a fun, raw, rebellious emotion. New York really lends itself to that ‘stomp-your-feet’ energy.”

The Chanel 25 bag, the latest addition to the house’s lineup of signature accessories, takes cues from classic Chanel codes—quilted leather, interlaced chain, and multiple pockets—while leaning into a modern, functional design. Available in three sizes, the bag is made for life on the go, balancing elegance with everyday ease.

“I’m obsessed with this bag,” Dua says. “As someone who’s always on the move, I love that it has space for everything—my books, sunglasses, maybe a notebook or two, and even my crystals. It’s just the perfect everyday bag.”

For Dua, the campaign is about movement, self-expression, and the energy that comes with constantly being in motion. “It’s powerful yet playful, and above all, joyous,” she explains. “That’s a spirit I connect with as an artist, so this felt right on so many levels.”

Photographed by David Sims, the full campaign will debut in March.
